Tuesday night notes

A couple of notes to pass along:
— UW assistant Cameron Dollar did indeed have his official interview at Sacramento State today. One source said it went well and that Dollar is “well-positioned” to get the job as the new head coach of the Hornets. A decision, however, may not come until early next week. Dollar is not commenting until after the process is complete. For more background on that situation you can read our story from last Saturday.
Kevin O’Neill is officially out as an assistant at Arizona, which also apparently means he won’t be the heir apparent to Lute Olson as head coach. That was some of the news that emanated today from Olson’s first press conference with local media since taking a leave of absence in November. You can read a writeup of it here as well as watch the video. Here’s another take on that from the Associated Press. Olson said it was still uncertain whether Jerryd Bayless or Chase Budinger will return next season.
Bill Grier says he’s looking at the Oregon State job but hasn’t yet accepted it. One rumor making the rounds is that Grier has been offered $4.6 million over six years.
Jon Wilner has a good look at a number of coaching openings in his College Hotline blog.
All for now.
