Suggs wins Mr. Show-Me Basketball Award, more

Washington recruit Scott Suggs was honored this week with the Mr. Show-Me Basketball Award, given to the top high school player in the state of Missouri.
Here’s an article detailing the award.
Suggs celebrated by scoring 12 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out five assists while playing for a team of Missouri All-Stars against a team from Illinois in the McDonald’s Riverwar High School Basketball All-Star Games.
For those who haven’t seen Suggs play, here are some clips courtesy of YouTube.
WILL CONROY UPDATE — The former Husky is back in the NBA D-League and had a big game last night, scoring 21 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds.
HAWES STARTING TO SHINE — Speaking of former Huskies, in case you haven’t noticed, Spencer Hawes is beginning to prove his worth as an NBA player. Due to an injury to Brad Miller, Hawes has been starting of late for the Sacramento Kings and playing well.
As his stats here show, he’s averaging 11.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in just over 31 minutes in April, shooting almost 47 percent from the floor.
Most impressive are performances in wins on back-to-back nights this weekend as he hit 12-19 shots and averaged 13 points, six rebounds and three assists in victories over Portland and New Orleans. With Hawes playing regularly, the Kings have won four of six games.
