Casto signs with Cougars

A couple of quick Pac-10 notes to pass along, including this story from the Spokesman-Review reporting that DeAngelo Casto has signed a letter-of-intent with Washington State.
In terms of in-state products, Casto is probably the biggest name to sign with the Cougars since Mark Hendrickson of Mt. Vernon in 1992. It will be interesting, to say the least, to watch how well Tony Bennett can mold Casto into his system, assuming Casto’s academics allow him to get there (as the story indicates, there are still questions about that).
There’s also this from LA where Luc Richard Mbah a Moute also said today he is declaring for the draft, but not signing with an agent, joining Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook. Westbrook said he’s staying in if he projects as a top 20 pick, which means he’s likely done in Westwood since most projections I’ve seen have him higher than that.
