Catching up

Spending part of my morning here trying to catch up on happenings around the Pac-10 after my week off.
Here’s some of what I found:
Andy Katz of ESPN.com is reporting that Oregon State is adding Providence transfer guard Dwain Williams. He’ll have two years of eligibility left but won’t be able to play until the 2009-10 season.
— Looks like the Abdul Gaddy story was well-covered on here. But just in case, wanted to pass along this link to the take on it from the Spokesman-Review, indicating this could be a battle between UW and Gonzaga for the services of the two Bellarmine Prep players.
Brian Dohn reports that Alabama may still make a run at J’Mison Morgan but that the center is still expected to end up at UCLA.
John Canzano of the Oregonian looks at the draft prospects for Oregon’s senior class and in the process says that Malik Hairston was a “huge disappointment” during his career in Eugene.
— The Arizona Daily Star says Chase Budinger is still expected to be a first-round pick, which would seem to increase the odds that he’ll be gone from Tucson next year.
— Arizona got some good news last week when point guard Nic Wise decided to stay, an announcement that came the day after Gaddy said he’s decommitting. Coincidence?
Jon Wilner has this breakdown of Ryan Anderson’s NBA chances and says he thinks it’s “60-40” that Anderson will stay in the draft and leave Berkeley.
All for now.
