A few notes

As the title says. …
— UW assistant Paul Fortier is still in the running for the vacancy at Brown. The job has been open for a couple months now, ever since Craig Robinson left to take over at Oregon State. Fortier recently had an interview with Brown officials. A decision is likely in the next week or so.
— Interesting note on Scott Wolf’s blog that former USC forward Davon Jefferson’s NBA stock is falling like a rock and that he may not get drafted. Jefferson already signed with an agent and can’t return to school.
— UCLA’s Russell Westbrook has signed with an agent and won’t be able to return to school, according to the LA Daily News. That means UCLA is sure to lose both Westbrook and Kevin Love, but appears likely to retain Josh Shipp, with Luc Richard Mbah a Moute apparently wanting to stay in but still undecided.
— The LA Daily News also reports that Love was in Seattle today working out for the Sonics. For his sake, hopefully that went better than his last visit to Seattle, a 3-8 performance in a Bruins loss.
— Kentucky transfer Derek Jasper, a high school summer league teammate of UW’s Quincy Pondexter, is said to be considering UCLA and USC, among others, for his next stop.
All for now.
