More on signing day

The Huskies will apparently wait until Friday to officially announce their class — sounds as if Abdul Gaddy’s parents are out of town, which is holding up his letter for a couple of days (a signature of a parent or guardian is required).
But once it comes in, the Huskies will have a Top 10 class in the eyes of at least one recruiiting service, Scout.Com, which unveiled its rankings today and has UW right at No. 10.
UCLA is the only Pac-10 school rated above UW, at No. 8. All of UCLA’s letters are in, which you can read about here if you want.
Those are the only two Pac-10 schools ranked in Scout.com’s Top 25, though the rankings are subject to change as a handful of the top prospects are still undecided.
Rivals.com also released revised ratings today and has UW at No. 20, with UCLA at No. 14, and again as the only two Pac-10 schools listed in the top 25.
DO HUSKIES HAVE ANY SHOT AT RENARDO SIDNEY? An alert reader sent along this blog entry from the Arizona Republic which quotes the father of Renardo Sidney, one of the top remaining unsigned recruits, as saying that Washington is among the Pac-10 schools still recruiting his son the most avidly.
Seems like a real longshot given that UW has never been listed as a player for Sidney in the past. Here’s his Scout.com profile which lists eight other schools, all of them heavy hitters and none of them UW.
