The day after

Great job by Percy Allen on the blog last night, and things like that will happen more often this year with some other football-basketball conflicts in the offing (and our hope to simply do more on the blog).
— In case you missed Allen’s story on the game, here it is.
— Here’s the view from The Portland Tribune, with a headline indicating that no one really saw that coming.
— And here’s the view from the Oregonian making particular note of the physical nature of the game.
— UW and Oregon State are the only Pac-10 teams to lose so far. There are no conference games today but Oregon and Arizona will play on Monday.
— The Huskies are in action next on Tuesday against Cleveland State, which had to rally for a 58-55 win over Oakland last night.
— Cleveland State is the favorite to win the Horizon League this year and has four starters back from a team that qualified for the NIT last year.
All for now.
