Husky Men's Basketball

The latest news and analysis on Husky men's hoops.

Progress report tonight?

About five hours away from tipoff tonight of what is UW’s last non-conference game against a big name opponent, Oklahoma State.
The game begins at 8 p.m. and will be televised on FSN.
I wrote today that this will serve as something of a progress report for the Huskies as we see if the improvement of the most recent two games has some legs to it or was just a temporary thing. Of course, always dangerous to make much out of any one game, but given that UW already has three non-conference losses and the Pac-10 isn’t exactly blazing a dazzling trail so far, this one feels like it has a little more importance than some.
Speaking of the Pac-10, this will be a big day all around the conference with teams taking part in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
In fact, it makes for a great night just sitting in front of the TV if you can swing it as USC plays at Oklahoma at 4 p.m. and UCLA at Texas at 6 p.m., followed by the Huskies.
Fair or not, this looms as a night when a lot of people will draw some perceptions about the Pac-10.
I’ll have more later from Hec Ed.
