Brock talk

Meant to post this yesterday when it was fresher, but figured still worth passing along Jon Brockman’s recap of how he was injured on Saturday.
Brockman said he “got caught between Justin Holiday’s two legs” while going after a ball during a routine drill and the ankle just rolled over.
“I thought I would be all right and then I woke up Sunday morning and it was all black and blue and it had swollen,” he said.
Brockman said it was a low ankle sprain, and to the right ankle, not the left, the one the caused all his problems last season and required surgery in May.
“I just woke up and said ‘there is no way I will be able to play today,”’ he said.
Brockman tried, getting treatment all day, but said it didn’t improve enough to play against Portland State.
When he spoke on Tuesday afternoon, he said he had already had three hours of treatment that day and said the swelling was beginning to go down quite a bit. His plan was to try to take part in some of practice on Tuesday and get back at it pretty well today.
When Brockman does return to action, he may have a little different look. He was in the midst of growing a goatee-type thing saying he was trying to keep up with roommates Artem Wallace and Joe Wolfinger, who have each sported some facial growth of late. “I’m just trying something different,” he said. “Got to change it up.”
