Bone gets new deal, a few more notes

We’ll break from strictly Husky news to pass on a few links that may be of interest. …
— Former UW assistant Ken Bone agreed today to a new five-year contract that will keep him at Portland State through the 2012-13 season. Portland State is 13-5 overall and 4-1 in Big Sky play.
— Oregon coach Ernie Kent says all is well on his team and that PG Tajuan Porter is a happy camper again despite Saturday’s benching. And today he said Porter will likely be back in the starting lineup vs. Washington Thursday.
— Speaking of Kent, Nick Daschel of Buster Sports says his future shouldn’t be an issue.
— Here are some news and notes, as well as a schedule of this week’s games, from the official Pac-10 web site.
— And if you missed it, Cal’s Patrick Christopher was named as the Pac-10 Player of the Week for his play against WSU and UW last weekend. It’s his second straight week winning the honor.
All for now.
