Morning after links

Not much time for review with the UCLA tipoff in less than 28 hours. So here goes. …
—- Here’s my game story, as well as a column from Jerry Brewer, who states that the present may finally be catching up to the past for the Huskies. And here’s our recap of the Brandon Roy festivities.
— The L.A. Times says that the Trojans ultimately just lost a war of attrition. The L.A. Times was the only L.A. paper to send its own writer to the game.
— The AP story points out that the Huskies are evolving into a deep team.
— UW’s next opponent, UCLA, recovered late after blowing a 15-point lead in Pullman. Darren Collison carried the Bruins down the stretch. He’s never played well in Seattle, something I’ll detail more a little later and something that could be a key tomorrow.
— The L.A. Times also says Collison pulled it out for UCLA against the Cougars.
— Lots of good Pac-10 stuff from Mike Tokito of The Oregonian, who was at Hec Ed last night, presumably to help set up tomorrow’s big game.
Vince Grippi of the Spokesman Review also has some links and a look at the UCLA-WSU game last night, and also finds the time to pass along the news that Starbucks may be going under.
Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports calls it his “stat of the night” that the Huskies won despite Brockman’s 0-8.
— The ESPN.com story on Roy’s retirement is headlined “Washington retires Brandon’s jersey.” I’m really hoping they are just being incredibly informal, because they have to know who Brandon Roy is don’t they?
— The Huskies are up to 19th in the Pomeroy ratings, and he also sees a 73-71 win for the Huskies over UCLA tomorrow.
All for now.
