Monday morning notes

A few quick notes to start the day. …
— I addressed UW’s improving free throw situation in my story today, specifically looking at a new drill the team has implemented this season called “the ladder,” which all involved think has helped quite a bit.
— The new rankings should be out by noon or so. We’ll post them here as soon as we can. Also, here’s a link to our standing rankings page, so you could just click there, as well, throughout the morning and as soon as they are available they will show up. UW has not in the AP poll since Jan. 1, 2007 when it was No. 24. UW was actually ranked in the coaches poll on Jan. 8, 2007, at No. 24, before falling out for good.
— The Huskies remain atop The Oregonian’s Pac-10 power rankings. The Oregonian’s Pac-10 notebook also leads off with the Huskies and a note on Justin Dentmon (all these UW stories in Oregon’s biggest newspaper has to have everyone in Eugene and Corvallis pretty happy, I would think).
—- Crosscut.com says the real tests for UW come this week.
All for now.
