Tuesday a.m. links

Tuesday means the Pac-10 coaches conference call, and UW’s weekly press conference, so there will be lots of stuff later today.
First, a few links to get things started. …
— The LA Times UCLA blog looks at the Bruins’ lost weekend in Arizona and how it sets up a huge game Thursday against UW. Of note is the thought that UCLA plays better against a man defense than a zone.
— The Times also notes UCLA has fallen to its lowest ranking of the season. By the way, UCLA hasn’t lost three in a row since early 2005 during Ben Howland’s second season as the Bruins’ coach when the team finished 18-11.
— Sportsline.com’s Gary Parrish says UW has to be rated ahead of UCLA and ASU in the
AP Top 25.

—- Seattle Sports Online has a good look at how the NCAA recently changed rules to prevent colleges from recruiting seventh- and eighth-graders.
— The Oregonian continues to rank UW No. 1 in the Pac-10 and also has some other links.
Mike Tokito of The Oregonian also has this look at some of the recent officiating controversies in the Pac-10.
— Speaking of officiating, kind of an entertaining post-game interview with USC’s Tim Floyd following his ouster at ASU the other night is available here.
All for now.
