Tonight’s pick

As you may have figured out, I’m spending a few days with the Mariners at spring training.
But I’ve picked every Pac-10 Conference game of the season so far so I’m not going to stop now.
Especially in the wake of the closest thing I’ve had all season to a direct hit, calling UW to beat Arizona 84-79 — the actual final was 83-78.
Anyway, on with today’s pick:
OREGON STATE AT OREGON (Ducks by two-and-a-half): Beavers are going for their first sweep of the Ducks since 1993. That’s also the last time anyone thought that the Beavers were the better program than the Ducks. That’s a mantle the Beavers can lay claim to officially with a win tonight. Here’s thinking they’ll get it. Oregon showed it still has some life when it beat Stanford last week. But OSU just seems like the better team right now. It’s Oregon’s last home game of the season. Interestingly, however, the Oregonian today speculated that it’s OSU coach Craig Robinson’s whose future could be in flux as he is likely to be a hot item this off-season and the Beavers may have to fight to keep him.OSU 61, OREGON 56.
SEASON RECORD: 55-14
