Dawgs move up in latest Bracketology

Still getting an explanation from the the tekkies as to what happened with the Times blogs yesterday. Rest assured, it wasn’t me.
Anyway, on to the good news, which just keeps on coming for the Huskies.
Monday’s edition of ESPN’s Bracketology has Washington seeded third in Portland and facing No. 14 seed Weber State.
According to Joe Lunardi, if UW wins its first-round game, then it would face the Gonzaga-Utah State winner in the second round. That’s a potentially great second-round game filled with subplots and a regional rivalry if the UW and Zags were to meet.
We don’t want to look too far ahead, but Washington is 2-8 against Gonzaga in the past 10 meetings. The schools no longer play their series for various reasons, but it goes without saying fans would love to see that matchup once again.
During an interview with KJR-AM last week, Lunardi didn’t envision the Huskies moving any higher to claim a No. 2 seed even if they won out and took the Pac-10 tourney. Not sure about that, but it stands to reason that the tournament organizers would like to keep the Dawgs in Portland or Boise for the opening rounds.
**UPDATE** RealTimeRPI.com has the UW rated No. 12.
