Tuesday’s links; info on UW’s Selection Sunday viewing party

Sorry we’re a little late with the posts this morning, but let’s get started on what’s shaping up to be a historic day for the Huskies.
— We’ll start with our story today on the renewed rivalry between the UW and Seattle University.
Nick Daschel says don’t bet on the lower seeds in the Pac-10 Tournament.
— The Pac-10 office released its weekly notes citing how Isaiah Thomas needs three points to set a Husky freshman record. Former Husky Spencer Hawes tallied 461 points during his freshman season in 2007.
The Bleacher Report and Hoops Addict has Washington ranked 16th in their power rankings.
Now for the really exciting news. Washington officials are expected to release an announcement that the school will host a Selection Sunday viewing party 3 p.m. March 15 inside the Don James Center. The event is open to the public. In the latest Bracketology, the Huskies are seeded No. 3 and would play in Portland.
