Thursday’s links

Plenty of links to dive into today.
— We’ll start with Bud Withers who wrote a nice feature on how Washington State landed Klay Thompson. Bud also chimes in with his weekly college basketball column.
The Spokesman-Review also offers a story on Thompson.
The Huskies plan to honor their three seniors Jon Brockman, Justin Dentmon and Artem Wallace on Saturday.
— The Oregon State Beavers would lift a heavy load off of the Huskies if they upset UCLA tonight in Pauley Pavilion. Here’s the Oregonian’s Paul Buker’s report from Los Angeles.
— Meanwhile, the other schools from Oregon and Los Angeles are playing a somewhat meaningless game for the Ducks and a somewhat important game for the Trojans. The Oregonian’s John Hunt has the coverage.
The Arizona Republic’s Doug Haller writes about Arizona State’s need to re-group against California. This game also has Pac-10 tournament seeding implications for the UW. Here’s Haller’s scouting report.
The Republic’s Paola Boivin says it’s strange that this year Arizona is the school in the state that’s on the bubble and not ASU. UA’s Chase Budinger said tonight’s game is a “must-win game.”
The Contra Costa Times Jeff Faraudo offers a view from the other side of the UA-Cal matchup.
Los Angeles Times David Wharton chimes in on UCLA’s possible NCAA Tournament seedings.
— And finally, the Wildcats will say goodbye – again – to legendary coach Lute Olson tonight. The Arizona Daily Star posts this story and this article on the ceremonies.
