Garcia takes it all in

I’ll have more on the game in a little while.
First, want to pass along that I had a chance to speak with forward Charles Garcia Jr., after the game as he was making his official visit here this weekend.
He is attending a junior college in the Sacramento area taking classes, but not playing, to concentrate on his academics after leaving Riverside CC in January. “Something like,” Garcia said, hinting that maybe there’s more, but not elaborating.
Whatever the case, he said he is on course to finish up his JC degree this spring and enroll at UW this summer, dismissing any talk that he won’t be eligible. “Definitely,” he said, when asked if he’ll get it all done.
Garcia said sitting out the last two months “is definitely hard. It’s not something I’ve ever done before. I think it will make me even hungrier.”
So was seeing what the Huskies did today.
“Very exciting,” he said. “Just a great atmosphere.”
