Husky Men's Basketball

The latest news and analysis on Husky men's hoops.

March 7, 2009 at 9:01 PM

The day after — on the same night

I used to wait to do a day-after links until the actual day-after.
But everything gets posted so early anymore that it’s not always worth waiting. So here are a few more links, and I’ll have a little bit of my own post-game analysis in a little while.
— Times columnist Jerry Brewer says UW won the game that clinched the Pac-10 title the way it has won so many others — with team play and grit and hard work.
Percy Allen has the view from the Cougar side with Tony Bennett saying the Huskies are the best in the Pac-10 but also proud the way his team hung in — and hoping that may mean good things in the Pac-10 Tournament.
— Here’s our photo gallery.
Mike Tokito of The Oregonian filed this report (and maybe they will fix that it should be 1984-85 when UW last shared titles).
— Here’s the view from The Spokesman-Review, which says the Huskies truly earned the Pac-10 title.
— As mentioned earlier, C.J. Wilcox was at the game today along with fellow 2009 classmates Abdul Gaddy and Charles Garcia Jr. Wilcox’s Pleasant Grove team lost in the state semifinals on Wednesday.
All for now.
