Huskies will play Stanford

Stanford staged a second-half rally to defeat Oregon State 62-54 in the first round of the Pac-10 Tournament here and advance to a quarterfinal game tomorrow against the Huskies.
Tipoff for that game will be 2:30 p.m. and it will be televised on FSN and in HD.
OSU led 28-21 at halftime, but the Cardinal went on a 14-2 run to start the second half to take control.
Guard Anthony Goods led Stanford with 23 points, 17 coming in the second half.
UW beat Stanford in both meetings during the regular season, though neither was easy.
UW beat Stanford 84-83 in Seattle on Jan. 8 on a rebound putback by Jon Brockman with 4.6 seconds left.
UW then rallied from an early 10-point deficit to beat the Cardinal 75-68 in Palo Alto on Feb. 8.
Given that UW had more easily defeated Oregon State in two meetings this year one would think the Cardinal was the team the Huskies hoped to avoid in the quarterfinals.
I’ll have more later on Stanford’s thoughts on facing UW.
