In L.A., plus writers’ poll results

I’ve made it to Los Angeles via Virgin America, which I’d never flown before but which may have made the cut for future endevaors due to offering live T.V. — and a chance to watch the Big East Tournament from the air. Even from 35,000 feet, DePaul looks bad (and St. John’s a lot worse).
I see that while I was en route — and maybe it happened earlier and I missed it — Jeff Faraudo of the Bay Area Media Group posted the results of his annual Pac-10 writers’ survey. Here it is. Even more interesting is the web extra with expanded comments.
All of us did this at varying times, and I actually filled mine out one night when I was in Arizona covering the Mariners for spring training to get it to him in time for the deadline.
As you can see, James Harden got the Player of the Year vote in what was apparently a close race with UW’s Jon Brockman, and Craig Robinson got the nod as Coach of the Year. However, UW did get an honor as Isaiah Thomas and Cal’s Jerome Randle split the vote as Most Fun Player to Watch.
More from the arena, including a live chat around 5:30 or so.
