ASU laying in wait for Huskies

Arizona State has beaten Arizona in the first game of the day here at the Pac-10 tournament today 68-56. And assuming the Huskies can get by Stanford in the next game, the Sun Devils will begin prepping for a third try at UW Friday.
UW beat ASU in both regular season meetings this year, 84-71 in Tempe on Jan. 31 and 73-70 in overtime in Seattle on Feb. 26. The latter was a showdown for the Pac-10 title and the Devils seemed to go into a funk when it was over, losing at WSU two days later and again at home to Stanford the following week.
But ASU has now beaten Cal and Arizona handily in its most recent two games and will surely feel it has something to prove to the Huskies.
James Harden led ASU with 27 points in a dominating performance that led Devils’ fans to chant “one more year” as he left the court. Good luck with that.
UW will begin its tourney play in about a half-hour and I’ll be back with the game thread then.
