Tuesday a.m. links, notes

Links with a tip-of-the-cap to the fine folks at the P-I. …
— We’ll stat with an update on the ticket situation in Portland from The Oregonian, which basically says there aren’t any. (Also included is a list of the practice times for tomorrow — UW will go from 2:15-2:55, which is free and open to the public. The Huskies will also practice more extensively somewhere in private).
— I was told today that UW got about 700 tickets overall, getting its scheduled allotment of 500 and securing a few hundred more from other schools, leftovers from corporate sponsors, etc. But they all sold quickly. About half went to the official party, including family of players, coaches, etc. So there weren’t a lot else to go around.
— SI.com with a lengthy Q-and-A with Jon Brockman. (FYI — I wouldn’t read too much into the football comment. He’s said that before when asked, but I really don’t think that means he’s seriously thinking about it, and he certainly couldn’t do it at UW. But it is an intriguing thought).
— Good update on former Husky Will Conroy from ProBasketballNews.com.
— Nice story on Isaiah Thomas from the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, which covers Mississippi State.
— A few notes from the Clarion-Ledger’s MSU blog.
— Also, a good column from the CL examining who got the tougher draw — UW or MSU.
— Fox Sports’ Jeff Goodman picks UW to reach the Sweet 16.
— Newsday in New York is already anticipating a UConn-MSU Sweet 16 to set up a battle between the two best shot blockers in the country.
All for now.
