The latest news and analysis on Husky men's hoops.

A day away

I’m off to the arena here in just a few minutes for the press conferences and open practices, and we’ll have as much coverage of that on here today as we can. I’ll also try to do a live chat somewhere in there.
For now, a final reminder that you can enter the Husky Blog NCAA Tournament Pool through ESPN.com set up by regular commenter Matty Simone.
Here’s the link. The group name is BowDown and the password is bob (not my idea, by the way).
I just completed mine and have a rather boring Final Four of UConn, Louisville, Pitt and Oklahoma, Pitt beating UConn in the final game.
For now I have UW to the Sweet 16 along with Gonzaga and UCLA, I also have Arizona and USC winning in the first round and Cal and ASU losing (you can make changes until tipoff). My big upset is Portland State over Xavier — if the threes start falling, why not?
And filling out a bracket is not only fun but a real boost ot the self-esteem with the big “Congratulations” greeting you as you hit the button to send it away. If only I could always earn high praise that easily.
OBAMA’S BRACKET — By the way, here is President Obama’s bracket and he does indeed have UW losing to Purdue in the second round.
