Huskies on the court

The Huskies are on the court here at the Rose Garden as I type this, going through a 40-minute open workout.
This is their second workout of the day as they held their “real” practice in private this morning at Portland State University, where former UW assistant Ken Bone is now the coach.
The focus of much of the questioning was about how the Huskies will handle MSU shot-blocker Jarvis Vanardo. Jon Brockman said again that the key will be to go after Vanardo, be aggressive and force him to make plays.
The Huskies were also asked whether they expect the Oregon fans here to root for or against them.
Brockman said he wasn’t too worried about it, noting all the UW fans likely to make the trip and that “I’m sure there will be a little bit of purple walking around tomorrow.”
The team appears healthy, with the only player sitting out this workout is freshman Tyreese Breshers, who is redshirting with a shin/knee injury. I talked a little bit with Breshers and he said he hasn’t participated in any full practices for a while now as the decision was made for him to concentrate on rehab and getting healthy. He said he expects to be full-go when the team begins its spring program in a month or so.
MORE TV INFO — Also, I received a note that the UW-Mississippi State game will be available tomorrow as well on the CBS College Sports Network, which will air the game nationally out-of-market.
CBS says fans can go to this site to see how they can watch/access CBS College Sports Network locally in various markets across the country,
I’ll have some more notes and quotes later and I’ll also try for a live chat later this afternoon.
