Saturday’s game time set at 2:40 p.m.

The UW-Purdue game Saturday will tip at 2:40 p.m.
It will be the first game of the doubleheader here with Gonzaga and the Western Kentucky/Illinois winner in the nightcap.
A couple interesting Purdue notes while we’re at it:
— The Boilermakers have won 11 straight first-round games but have lost in the second round the last three times, not making it past the second round since 2000.
— Purdue is 24-2 this year, out of a 26-9 overall record, when holding teams under 65 points, so that seems to be the magic number.
— Purdue is 3-1 all-time against UW but the two schools haven’t played since 1967. In 1967, the two teams played on back-to-back nights in Seattle, UW winning the first night 98-87 and Purdue the next night 84-77. Purdue is 28-27 all-time against the Pac-10.
— Here are Big Ten stats for this season if you want to check out where Purdue ranks.
— Here’s my notebook from today’s game including a look at the help Quincy Pondexter has gotten this season from one of UW’s managers, Trevor Wade.
— And here’s a link to the hometown paper for Purdue.
All for now.
