Husky Men's Basketball

The latest news and analysis on Husky men's hoops.

Morning after links

Never to late to read more about the 15th NCAA tourney win in school history. …
— The Sporting News has lots of news and notes on the Portland regional, including more on how UW graduate trainer Trevor Wade helped mold Quincy Pondexter’s game this summer.
Mike Tokito of The Oregonian has a nice piece on Jon Brockman, And just to clear up confusion, Brockman did not suffer a broken nose against Mississippi State but did last week against Arizona State. He had it reset and has been playing without a mask since then.
— MSU coach Rick Stansbury said Pondexter was the X factor for the Huskies.
— Lots of video from The Oregonian.
— The Oregonian with a good look at the scalping scene outside the arena.
— ESPN.com’s venerable Ted Miller with a good look at Pondexter.
— The Eugene Register-Guard with more on Pondexter’s big game.
— Here’s a good look at how Purdue grinded out its win against Northern Iowa.
— The LA Times has a fun look at the picks of President Obama.
— One-time Husky signee Roburt Sallie hit 10 three-pointers as Memphis advanced today. Sallie was a member of the Class of 2005 that also included Brockman, Justin Dentmon and Martell Webster, but didn’t get eligible and as far as I know, never set foot at UW after signing. One of the really odd things was that he’d been pretty much a bit player for Memphis until going crazy on Thursday. He hadn’t scored more than 13 points all season until Thursday.
I’ll have more tomorrow from the press conferences and I’ll try to sneak in a live chat at some point.
All for now.
