Could UW have beaten UConn?

Watching this game early, not so sure.
Most telling to me was the way UConn forced Purdue into almost solely a jump shooting team. That’s obviously the worst thing that could have happened to UW, though Washington might have had some better options for more diverse scoring, such as Jon Brockman and Quincy Pondexter inside and Isaiah Thomas driving.
On the other hand, here comes Purdue with Robbie Hummel going crazy early — the one thing UW was able to keep in check on Purdue’s offense last week and the main reason I resisted the notion that the Boilermakers played their best game against UW. Hummel’s the one thing that could have been better.
Anyway, feel free to use this entry as a thread to comment on a sadly UW-less Sweet 16 matchup.
