Players look to the future

Cleaning out my notebook and found a few more quotes from players about their plans for the future:
VENOY OVERTON: “I’m going to take a week off and get back in the gym, the weight room, going real hard this summer. I already talked to (strength) coach (Matt) Ludwig and I’m dedicating my life to this right now to working real hard this summer.”
QUINCY PONDEXTER: “I think a lot of us are going to be hungry this off-season to get back to this feeling, to being in the NCAA Tournament, to win a Pac-10 championship and play great basketball.”
“No doubt I think we are all going to carry this feeling we have right now (in the locker room after the Purdue game), the anger of thinking we should have done better and carry it as motivation through this whole year to the next opening game.”
On being the leader next season: “I’m really looking forward to it. They (the seniors this year) were tremendous leaders and I think I’ve learned from both of them. There’s going to be a lot riding on my shoulders next year. That’s one of the reasons I came to Washington is that I would have this ability (to be a team leader).”
Also, I’ll have more from UW coach Lorenzo Romar later today.
