Dentmon selected for NABC All-Star game

UW guard Justin Dentmon has been selected to play in the NABC All-Star Game Friday in Detroit.
The game will be televised live on CBS College Sports (Channel 412 on Comcast in the Seattle area) at 1:30 p.m.
Dentmon will play for the Hershey’s All-Stars coached by Nolan Richardson and Mike Anderson of Missouri.
Among his teammates are Aron Baynes of Washington State — the game features players whose eligibility has expired.
Josh Heytvelt of Gonzaga is on the opposing team, named the Reese’s All-Stars and coached by Bruce Weber of Illinois and Matt Painter of Purdue, interestingly two coaches Dentmon got to know pretty well during the recruiting process before ending up at UW. Painter was the coach at Southern Illinois when Dentmon was attending HS in Carbondale. Painter, obviously, also is now the coach at Purdue, the last team Dentmon played against as a collegian.
Here is a release from GoHuskies.com with more details.
The obvious question some of you may have is why Jon Brockman isn’t in this game. Word is that Brockman is preferring to concentrate on preparing for draft camps. He is scheduled to play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament April 8-11. That is one of the annual showcases for graduated players to show their wares for NBA scouts. Official rosters for that tournament are set to be announced on Friday.
