No stopping the coaching carousel yet, with lots of rumors but no definitive news today about either Arizona or Washington State.
One that could potentially touch UW is if Joe Callero leaves Seattle U, as Percy Allen of our staff reported last night could happen. UW assistants Cameron Dollar and Jim Shaw might be candidates for that job if it opens.
— Speaking of Dollar, SeattleSportsOnline.com has a good look at the UW assistant, including some quotes on his future, where he says pretty much what he always has — he really likes it at UW but his goal is to be a head coach so he’ll look if there’s an opportunity out there. The story mentions Long Beach State. Dollar was also one of three finalists last year at Sacramento State last year, as well.
Andy Katz has some good thoughts on Tim Floyd and Tony Bennett.
— The Oregonian has lots of links, including coverage of Oregon State’s loss in the CBI Finals last night. The third and final game will be Friday in El Paso. As their story notes, the finals are drawing pretty well, appearing to prove there may be an appetite for this tournament after all.
— A trio of Oregon players were arrested the other day in a story I’ll just let you read and comment on yourselves.
All for now.
