Friday a.m. links — a new name to fill Dollar’s spot

Never too late to link. …
— With Cameron Dollar gone, Lorenzo Romar is searching for a new member of his coaching staff for the first time in four years. Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports floats an interesting name as a possible replacement — Raphael Chillious, who used to be the coach at South Kent Prep when Isaiah Thomas and Matthew Bryan-Amaning played there. Chillious is working right now with Nike Elite Youth Basketball.
— Interestingly enough, Chillious is the coach this weekend for the International Team at the Jordan Brand Classic , where Abdul Gaddy is playing. DraftExpress.com is among the sites covering the Jordan Brand Classic. CORRECTION ON THIS ITEM — I wrote earlier that Romar would be in attendance for this but I misunderstood. He will not be there.
— Speaking of Dollar, Times columnist Steve Kelley says he’s the perfect choice to lead Seattle U.
— And here’s my story on the hire noting Dollar’s stated goal for the next three years — the NIT Finals. Seattle U won’t be eligible for the NCAA Tournament until the 2012-13 season.
All for now.
