Jrue Holiday turning pro

Good thing we wrote those brother-playing-against-brother stories last year when UW faced off against UCLA as they won’t be applicable this season when the two teams meet with the news today that Jrue Holiday is definitely turning pro.
The LA Daily News has the story here.
Jrue Holiday is the younger brother of current Husky Justin Holiday, who has two years left on Montlake. UW hotly pursued Jrue Holiday, as well, but lost out to the Bruins, who only got his services for one year.
The two brothers went 1-1 on the floor this year, each winning at home. Jrue Holiday scored 18 points in two games against UW this year, going 7-16 from the floor.
Maybe more relevant, the definitive loss of Jrue Holiday obviously weakens UCLA a little bit opening the door a little bit wider for UW to have an opportunity to repeat as Pac-10 champs next season.
