Brockman still lying low

UW grad Jon Brockman had been on the initial list to attend a group workout for the New Jersey Nets Sunday.
But as this report details, he was among those who didn’t show. Brockman also didn’t attend the NBA Combine late last month and hasn’t been reported at any NBA workouts. Neither he nor his agent have been responding to interview requests and the official word from those at UW is that they don’t know what is going.
Brockman, however, is reported to be fine physically, so sounds as if Brockman and his agent are simply employing a pre-draft strategy of staying as out of the limelight as possible for whatever reason — either a deal with a team or because they think it suits him best not to attend workouts.
Brockman remains at No. 46 on the mock at NBADraft.net but it not listed at all on the latest mock on DraftExpress.com.
We’ll finally find out which of those two is closer to being right — and what is really going on with Brockman — when the draft arrives on June 25.
