Pondexter makes World University Games team

The final roster was set today for the U.S. entry in the World University Games and UW’s Quincy Pondexter has made the team.
Here’s the story from ESPN’s Andy Katz. You’ll note a couple of his teammates are players he got pretty familiar with last March — Purdue’s Robbie Hummel and Mississippi State’s Jarvis Varnado. Pondexter is the only Pac-10 player on the team.
Here’s the official release from USA Basketball. You can also find some quotes from Pondexter here including his thoughts that putting on the USA jersey is “going to be one of the most unbelievable experiences of my life.”
The U-19 team was also announced and includes WSU’s DeAngelo Casto and Klay Thompson.
