Fundraiser coming Friday for ex-Husky Moritz

A group of former Huskies are working together Friday night to help one of their own — Andrew Moritz, a former walk-on guard who is battling cancer.
Spencer Hawes is hosting a spaghetti dinner Friday night at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Conibear Shellhouse, with the proceeds going to help Moritz in his fight. Other former Huskies who will be in attendance include Nate Robinson, Jon Brockman and Brandon Roy.
Here are more details on the event. The fundraiser is being held in conjunction with Saturday’s Rock ‘n Roll Marathon and registered runners can eat dinner for $10. Non-runners can eat for $20.
And here is a column from Steve Kelley in March with background on Moritz and his fight against a rare form of cancer.
