Lorenzo Romar says Darnell Gant will start

Coach Lorenzo Romar told us Quincy Pondexter and Isaiah Thomas will start this season and in this story by ESPN’s Andy Katz he said Darnell Gant will also start.
Romar said freshman Abdul Gaddy and junior Venoy Overton will contend for the starting point guard spot. He plans to start two point guards and may finish games with a three-guard lineup.
That leaves just one opening in the starting lineup: center. Conceivably, Matthew Bryan-Amaning will fill the void left by Jon Brockman.

Mike DeCourcy finishes his preview of the top 10 players at each position. The lastest report takes a look at centers. No Huskies or Pac-10 players on the list, but UW will meet Georgetown big man Greg Monroe who chimes in at No. 3.
