Quincy Pondexter on pace to pass MacCulloch, Houbregs and Brockman

Quincy 2.JPG
Quincy Pondexter (left) began the season 27th on Washington’s all-time scoring list. After eight games, he’s climbed to No. 22 with 1,268 points, ahead of Bobby Jones (1,226).
Pondexter needs 16 points to pass No. 21 Nate Robinson (1,283).
Pondexter has a 22.1 scoring average and if he maintains this pace it would be the third highest in school history behind Bob Houbregs’ 25.6 points per game in 1952-53 and Louie Nelson who had 23.0 in ’72-73.
At his current clip, Pondexter would finish with 1,754 points after the regular season and overtake Todd MacCulloch (1,743) for fourth place.
If Washington plays a handful of postseason games, Pondexter has a chance to surpass third-place Houbregs (1,774) and No. 2 Jon Brockman (1,805).
