Huskies 17th in AP poll; 16th in coaches’ rankings

Washington is still the only Pac-10 school ranked among the top 25 when the new Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls were released this morning.
The Huskies are 17th in AP and 16th in the coaches poll. Last week, they were 22nd and 19th respectively.
Here’s the link.
It’s interesting to note Texas Tech, who beat UW, is ranked 20th and 24th. Georgetown, which also beat the Huskies, is 13th in both polls.
USC, which has won six straight games, moved a little closer to being ranked. The Trojans received 27 votes from college basketball writers. Cal got 7 votes.
It’s conceivable the Huskies will not face another ranked team in the regular season.
And Gonzaga fell out of the AP rankings, but they’re 22nd in the ESPN/USAToday poll.
