Another disturbing trend is developing for Washington. The Huskies are producing Pac-10 Player of the Week winners. However, they don’t play for UW.
Last week, Oregon center Michael Dunigan won the award after destroying Washington.
This week, it’s Arizona State guard Ty Abbott (left), who tallied 17 points in the Sun Devils’ 68-51 victory. He was instrumental in the win, converting 3 of 7 three-pointers and collecting four rebounds.
Abbott posted his first-career double double (17 points and career-high 11 rebounds) and had four assists in a 71-46 victory over Washington State on Sunday.
Other players nominated: Arizona’s Jamelle Horne; Cal’s Theo Robertson; Stanford’s Jeremy Green and USC’s Dwight Lewis.
