Video: Lorenzo Romar vs. Cameron Dollar

Coach Lorenzo Romar talked to Q13’s Aaron Levin Sunday night in a wide-ranging interview. Among the topics, Tuesday’s game against Seattle University and Redhawks coach Cameron Dollar, the former UW assistant.
When Romar was an assistant at UCLA, he coached Dollar. Dollar also spent 10 years on Romar’s coaching staff.
“It’s extremely strange,” Romar said of Tuesday’s game. “We’ve never been on opposite sides. We’ve always been a team. … This will be the first time other than playing noon ball in the IMA or something that we’re going against each other.”
Turns out that’s not entirely accurate.
When Romar coached Pepperdine, Dollar coached at Southern California College. Romar and the Waves beat Dollar and the NAIA Lions 94-64. Dollar was 22 at the time.
