Quincy Pondexter finishes behind Jerome Randle in POY race

**Updated 11:08 a.m.***
The Pac-10 released its all-conference awards and California senior Jerome Randle beat Washington senior Quincy Pondexter for the Player of the Year award.
As a consolation prize, Pondexter won the Player of the Week award for a record fifth time. Since the Pac-10 was formed in 1978, four players (Gary Payton, Chris Mills, Ed O’Bannon and Eddie House) won the weekly award four times and all of them won the POY at the end of the season.
Pondexter averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and shot 65.5% (19-29) from the field and 100% (12-12) from the free throw line in a road-sweep at Oregon and Oregon State.
Here’s the how the all-conference awards were doled out from the coaches.
