Did Quincy Pondexter finish third in the POY voting?

Just one more note on the Pac-10 Player of the Year vote and we’ll leave it alone. Maybe.
It seems as if Washington Husky fans believe Quincy Pondexter was edged out by California senior Jerome Randle in a tight vote, but a story in the Oakland Tribune suggest UW’s star might have been a distant third in the polling.
In his ninth annual Pac-10 Basketball Writers Survey, Jeff Faraudo polled 31 writers who cove the conference.
When asked your choice for Pac-10 player of the year:
Randle received 13 votes, Stanford’s Landry Fields 12 and Pondexter 6.
The writers excluded Washington’s Isaiah Thomas from a five-player, All-Pac-10 team while choosing Randle, Fields, Pondexter, Arizona’s Derrick Williams and Cal’s Patrick Christopher.
A few other interesting notes: Randle won the Most Entertaining Player award, Washington was picked to win this week’s conference tournament and Cameron Dollar, the Seattle University coach and former UW assistant, received two votes when asked who will replace Ernie Kent at Oregon.
