Huskies vs. Gonzaga in the first round? It could happen

We’re not finished with the bracketologists just yet. Washington settled the matter of whether it will get in the NCAA tournament, but now let’s take a look at where they’ll land in the bracket.
Andy Glockner at SI.com has UW as a 10 seed in Jacksonville against No. 7 Texas in the Midwest Region. That would be an interesting matchup pitting former teammates Abdul Gaddy and Avery Bradley against each other. They played together at Tacoma’s Bellermine Prep.
ESPN bracket guru Joe Lunardi believes the Huskies will be a No. 11 seed in New Orleans, which would make my wife very happy. He thinks UW will play No. 6 BYU in the East region.
Bracketville slots UW in the West region as a No. 11 seed against No. 6 Richmond in San Jose.
SBNation.com creates a dream matchup for many college basketball fans in this state. The website has Washington as a No. 11 seed against No. 6 Gonzaga in San Jose in the West region.
Speaking on behalf of many posters on this blog, a Dawgs-Bulldogs reunion would be one heckuva first-round game.
And finally, a link to Bracketography.com was included in a the comments section on a previous post. Fascinating information about the selection committee, which belies the theory the NCAA is influenced by an East Coast bias.
Also, if you’re making ticket plans or travel reservations, here’s a complete list of the sites.
