Husky Men's Basketball

The latest news and analysis on Husky men's hoops.

Monday practice report

Washington players and coach Lorenzo Romar were unavailable today, but media were able to watch the first few minutes of practice.
— The Huskies practiced on the main court at Edmundson Pavilion. The mood was light and playful. Nothing out of the ordinary. Players laughed and joked during warmups. Before stretching, Romar gathered everyone for several long minutes on the far end of court.
Isaiah Thomas wore the protective glove around his injured left hand. Still haven’t gotten a final word on the injury. The first time I asked, a UW spokesman said it was bruised. On his Twitter page last week Thomas said it was broken. When asked Saturday, he said his hand is fine.
— Walk-on Brendan Sherrer, who missed the trip to Los Angeles for the Pac-10 Tournament, returned to practice. Sherrer was out with an infection.
— Washington practices in Seattle tomorrow afternoon. The Huskies depart from school at 5:30 p.m. and will fly charter at 7 p.m. to San Jose. I don’t know which airport they’ll leave from and suggest if fans want to send them off, then they should do it when UW boards the bus on campus.
— Washington has a closed practice Wednesday morning (site undisclosed) and will workout at 5:55 p.m. at HP Pavilion, which is open to the public.
