New Mexico G/F Darington Hobson (above) underwent an X-ray on his injured left wrist this morning and the exam showed no serious injury. The wrist is sore and tender and he’s expected to play Saturday against Washington.
Hobson, the Mountain West Conference’s player of the year, is the Lobos best player who leads the team in points (16.0), rebounds (9.3) and assists (4.6). The 6-7, junior fell on the wrist in last night’s 62-57 win against Montana.
