Thomas to Undergo Surgery; Ross Will Visit UW

On his Twitter account, Isaiah Thomas says he’s undergoing toe surgery today.
We’ll update when we get more information.
FRIDAY MORNING LINKS:
— Portland-area recruit Terrence Ross is coming to Washington … for a visit on Monday. His mother Marcine Ross told the Oregonian Ross is enamored with the Huskies.
“I think he likes the fact that most of their players are returning, as well as their history for producing professional guards,” Marcine Ross said told the Oregonian. “He really has a nice bond with coach Lorenzo Romar. We’ll have to see how it goes, but so far, Terrence feels strong about the University of Washington.”
Apparently Ross has been given signs that he’s leaning towards UW this week.
— Portland recruit Terrence Jones announced on his Facebook page that he’ll make a college choice on April 30. Last week, Jones said he was putting Kansas on his list of favorites and was planning to visit the Jayhawks, however, his mother Linda Maisha-Jones told the Oregonian she doesn’t know of any planned visit. She also said she hasn’t spoken to anyone from KU.
— Former Husky Mark Pope joined the Wake Forest coaching staff as an assistant to coach Jeff Bzdelik. Pope, who starred at Newport High in Bellevue, was the Pac 10 Freshman of the Year in 1992 and transferred to Kentucky after his sophomore season.
