Terrence Jones: “I’m still committed to Washington”

Oregonian columnist John Canzano tracked down Terrence Jones who told him what everyone around the five-star recruit has been saying ever since last Friday’s infamous press conference.
“I’m still committed to Washington,” Jones told Canzano today, “but I’m not willing to sign anything at this point.”
Reading Canzano’s story, it appears as if he had a short conversation with the Jefferson High star forward who has thrown the recruiting world in a tizzy after picking Washington, but not signing a binding national letter of intent.
We first reported last week Jones began to have doubts about his decision after he had a conversation with Kentucky coach John Calipari.
In Canzano’s story, Jones said he called the coaches of the five schools (Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas, UCLA and UK) he didn’t pick.
Canzano takes a shot at UW fans who have attacked Jones in the comments sections of blogs like this one and writes “well-meaning fans at the five finalist colleges, who believe they’re serving as defacto recruiters, serve as the worst enemy of their respective programs.”
Jones gave no timetable when or if he will sign with the Huskies. The signing period ends May 19.
