Washington Plays Arizona State on Jan. 22 and Feb. 17

Arizona State released it’s 2010-11 men’s basketball schedule and the Sun Devils start the season at New Mexico State and host Alabama-Birhimgham before traveling to the Great Alaska Shootout.
Washington hosts ASU on Jan. 22 and travel to Tempe, Ariz. on Feb. 17.
It appears the Huskies will also host Arizona on Jan. 20 and visit the Wildcats on Feb. 19.
Arizona State is the first Pac-10 school to release its schedule.
During a Seattle Times Live Chat last week, coach Lorenzo Romar said UW’s schedule has been finalized and will be released soon.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON LINKS:
— Washington State guard Klay Thompson has been named to Rivals.com’s five-man 2010-11 All-Junior First Team.
In addition to Thompson, the first team includes: Kansas forward Marcus Morris, Georgia forward Trey Thompkins and guards Ashton Gibbs of Pittsburgh and Kemba Walker of Connecticut.
The second team includes forwards Kevin Jones (West Virginia), John Shurna (Northwestern) and Jeffery Taylor (Vanderbilt), and guards William Buford (Ohio State) and Shelvin Mack (Butler).
The obvious omission is Washington junior-to-be Isaiah Thomas . As the season approaches, it will be interesting to see if the national pundits include the Huskies guard on the preseason lists.
— Arizona sophomore Derrick Williams is the only Pac-10 player on the Rivals.com preseason 2010-11 All-Sophomore team.
