Brockman trade completed, plus a couple other notes

The long-rumored trade of Jon Brockman to Milwaukee was finally officially completed today.
Interestingly, Brockman had just entered our offices here at The Seattle Times to conduct a live chat when the trade was finalized, reporting in the chat that he signed the contract in our offices.
Brockman got a lot of questions from Milwaukee fans, so read through the chat if you want his thoughts on the trade. He also picked his three most memorable games as a Husky and I have to be honest that if I’d had to guess which three he would have picked, I might only have gotten one of them right — the win at home over WSU his senior year to clinch the Pac-10 title.
The other two he cited were the win over Gonzaga his freshman year (seems like a lot longer than that since the two teams have played, doesn’t it?) and the triple-overtime loss to Cal at home his senior year.
Brockman also offered that he’s always available to answer questions via his Twitter page.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
Jon Wilner revealed some of his pre-season All-Pac-10 picks the other day and it was laden heavily with Huskies. He picked Isaiah Thomas as his player of the year, Lorenzo Romar as his coach of the year, and Abdul Gaddy as his most improved player. He also had IT and Matthew Bryan-Amaning on his all-conference team and Gaddy on the second team, with Venoy Overton and Justin Holliday on his all-defensive squad. All of that is after an earlier post in which he picked UW to win the conference and said the Huskies currently have the best program in the Pac-10.
Lorenzo Romar’s stint coaching the USA Men’s Select Team has begun. The team is currently practicing in Las Vegas. Here are further details.
Andy Katz caught up with the NCAA’s head of officiating and there’s some interesting stuff in there.
Gregg Doyel looks at why the NCAA is finally getting serious about agents.
